EES’ Source Testing Team has experienced testing in many different locales and for many different agencies. EES’ personnel have accomplished stationary source emissions tests at facilities throughout Western United States, including, Southern California. EES also has a satellite office in Rockford, Illinois.
EES’ personnel are experienced in source testing of all major criteria and toxic air emissions. EES’ source test personnel have performed source tests pursuant to the requirements of state and local air pollution control agencies. In Southern California, EES personnel have conducted source tests for both RECLAIM and non-RECLAIM facilities. EES personnel are certified to conduct source testing per California’s South Coast Air Quality Management Districts (SCAQMD) air regulations and testing requirements, which are the strictest and most complex in the Nation. EES personnel are also certified by California Air Resources Board (ARB) in their Independent Contractor Program. EES’ source testing team is adept with performing:
- Stack emissions testing (Varieties of stationary sources)
- Leak detection and fugitive emissions testing
- Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) certification
- Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA)
- Visible emissions measurement
- 3-Dimensional Flow Measurements
- Air Toxics Emissions Testing for Health Risk Assessment Calculations
EES’ personnel are experienced with testing a wide range of equipment in a variety of industrial settings and in all major air pollutants. Source tests have recently been conducted for the following compounds and included is the following equipments:

EES has the latest in mobile source testing equipment. EES’ CEMS mobile van is equipped with NO-NO2, CO, HC, CO2, O2 and SOx analyzers. An on-board, high-powered personal computer and a Hybrid Strip Chart Recorder with a built-in Data Acquisition System (DAS) are connected to the analyzers (for immediate calculation of emission rates with comparisons to applicable allowable regulatory or permit limits). In addition, the CEMS mobile van is equipped with 300-ft. of sample lines, heated lines, a knockout bucket, and a thermo-electric cooler.
EES’ source testing equipment also includes:
- Chemiluminecence NOx (Oxides of Nitrogen) Analyzer
- Non-Dispersive Infrared CO (Carbon Monoxide) Analyzer
- Non-Dispersive Infrared CO2 (Carbon Dioxide )Analyzer
- Electro-Chemical and Paramagnetic O2 (Oxygen) Analyzer
- UV SOx (Oxides of Sulfur) Analyzer
- Flame Ionization Detector THC (Total Hydrocarbon) Analyzer
- Complete sets of Isokinetic sampling trains with Apex Instruments dry gas meter boxes and other accessories
- Low Flow Sampling Dry Gas Meter with built-in pump
- Tedlar bags with evacuated chambers
